Season of Spooky Fun – Bats

Counting Bats
This sensorying counting is easy to set up and will make learning so much fun!
What you need:
- Rice
- Bow Tie Pasta
- Orange Paint
- Black Paint
- Hand Sanitizer
- Counting Mat
Directions:
- Dye the rice orange by adding a bit of hand sanitizer and orange paint to a plastic bag and shake well.
- Lay out to dry
- Dye the bow tie pasta to look like bats using hand sanitizer and black paint in a plastic bag and shake well
- Lay out to dry
- Lay rice in a sensory bin or tray and add the bats
- Using our counting mat place the bats in the moonlight to match the number you are working on!

Flying Bats
Download the print, follow these 3 simple steps and watch your bats fly!
Step 1: Fold the bat in half, printed side out • Step 2: Fold the wings down along the dotted lines • Step 3: Fold the wings back up and attach a paperclip to help it fly!

ACTIVITY #3
Bat Cave Learning
For this fun learning activity just use a tissue box and wrap it with construction paper. Use the bat templates to cut out bats with black construction paper. We practiced vowel sounds and flew the bats that matched into the cave!
